Important steps to follow when measuring Recess Fit Full Blockout Cassette/ Roller Blind Recess Fit

Use a metal tape measure. Make sure the tape measure is taught when taking measurements.
Always write down the width measurement first and then the drop measurement second on all blinds. Always document the smallest width and drop measurement. (*Note; Check for adequate fixings prior to ordering).
Only write measurements down in millimetres.
Write down the preferred motor side on each individual blind.
Document the smallest measurement of three spot measurements for width and drop. Double check the top measurement where the cassette will be installed.
Always double check measurements with the measurements you have written down.
Watch for protruding door/window hardware that might interfere with Full Blockout Cassette/ Roller Blind operation/ Top Cassette and Sides Only. For the Full Blockout Cassette/ Roller Blind to fit in entire recess it requires 90mm to fit fully in recess. We recommend a minimum of 30mm for channels to fit inside recess. End covers are required with all of our Full Blockout Cassette/ Roller Blinds/ Top Cassette and sides. We deduct 2mm from width and drop off all recess fit cassette systems, for easier fitting. Make sure there is good solid/flat fixing for tracks. You may need to choose Top Cassette with Sides should your bottom window or door handle not be able to operate, this can happen when the back of fixed channels is too close to handles, this can interfere with operation. Most doors will require a Top and Sides Cassette Only, rather than a Full Cassette System, as the bottom rail will interfere with the walkway.
