How to Clone an Alpha Motor Remote
Cloning allows you to pair a new remote to your motor without needing to access the motor head — ideal for hard-to-reach installations.
What you'll need:
- Your existing working remote
- Your new remote
Step 1 — Activate cloning mode on the existing remote
- Select the channel on your existing remote that controls the blind
- Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously until the motor jogs
- Release both buttons
- Press the STOP button 8 times — the motor will jog again to confirm it has entered cloning mode
Step 2 — Pair the new remote
- Pick up your new remote and select the desired channel (if it's a multi-channel remote)
- Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously until the motor jogs
- Release both buttons
- Press the STOP button once — the motor will jog to confirm the new remote has been successfully paired
💡 Tip: If the motor doesn't jog at any step, start the process again from Step 1. Ensure you are within range of the motor throughout.
