We had a large quantity of blinds to order, 10 new roller blinds, as well as a fantastic service of being able to purchase 26 new fabric skins for old roller blinds.
Although initially nervous about buying online, Blinds Downunder were absolutely brilliant to deal with. Not only did they prove to be much more reasonably priced than local suppliers, they were extremely professional, knowledgable and honest. They were also super responsive with phone conversations, answers and quotes. We are from regional Victoria and everything was delivered on time and with exceptional packaging and directions.

Blinds Downunder supplied the blinds I ordered on time, as specified, the measurements precise and made of good quality materials. Once it was installed it looked great and operated as expected. I'm very happy with the purchase. The installation instructions were pretty easy to follow. The supplied chain ended up being too short as the window is quite high. Outstanding service and quality
I had an order of 5 roller blinds, all different sizes, two types of roll back, and two colours of fittings (only thing the same was the colour/fabric). I received a confirmatory email checking the details (I was very appreciative of this level of service), and the order was delivered in under two weeks - everything as ordered. Fitting was straight forward, and the final product looks fantastic. Why would anyone (with even an ounce of DIY talent - or should that be gram (?)) purchase blinds any other way but through the BD team.

Large drop down screen
We needed to replace a drop down screen, not used as a roller blind as such but it was a bespoke size and our request was a little unusual. We had tried quotes from several other places and most were almost 3x the price or because our request was a little different they never returned emails etc. These guys got back straight away and were not put off by the unusual nature of our job. Ordering online can be scary, but we spoke on the phone to ensure we were both on same page. Quote was timely, delivery eta was correct and follow up customer service to check our install went etc was the best we've experienced in a long time. Highly recommend this company.

Amazing products.
If I knew these products existed, I would have bought them years ago! I had venetian blinds installed in my windows when we moved into our property more than 10 years ago, with a lot of light coming in, especially from the front rooms facing the road that were not ideal for sleep. I did not want to put an ugly curtain blind over them, until someone told me about these cassette blockout blinds. The blinds provide total blockout from light and have made such a difference to my sleep and that of my family. They also look very stylish and have made our rooms look so much better. The cassettes were exactly what we ordered in terms of measurements, and they were of high quality, as was the blind fabric and the exact colour we saw online. Alan was amazing at providing support throughout the order process, updated me on expected delivery and was courteous and responsive to all my questions pre and post installation. I initially bought for one room and then decided to buy for two more rooms. Do not hesitate if you are thinking about getting these, you will be very happy you did! Highly recommended in every way!

True partners in the process
I needed sun shading blinds on the outside of my house and wanted them to be able to connect into an existing smart home installation. Most providers did not understand this need and just directed me to inadequate suppliers pamphlets.
Alan took the time to understand my needs and sort out information that ensured we could find the right product for my job. He did not rush, we took a careful approach and have arrived at an excellent solution.

We had two external Auto awnings that had seen their days. Had a quote from a local mob who mentioned doing a reskin as hardware was OK. Worked out I could possibly do it myself, with a bit of Googling. Found Blinds Downunder on internet search. The online ordering system was easy to navigate and after a quick phone call [answered immediately] to verify a couple of points the order was placed. The price was better than other companies online. The turn around was pretty good considering Melbourne cup day was in the middle. The new skins were a perfect fit. Great result
I was looking to replace the fabric on our Roman blinds. I came across Blinds Downunder online. I was impressed with their website and tutorials. Very happy with artscape floret (static) window film!!
Have been looking for a pretty patterned static window film available in Australia for many years, and I've finally found it! Had no luck with previous orders (sticky contact, not large format enough, poor quality etc). Super happy with this product!

Keep your fittings and recover your blinds
We saved heaps both environmentally and cost wise by reskinning our blinds. Keep all the fittings and fixtures just putting bew fabric on. They supply excellent quality blockout and see through blinds cut to size with various bottom rail styles.
We also bought 3 completely new roller blinds with pelmets which are neat and stylish.
All were easy to install. The quality, communication and timing are excellent. It was a pleasure to deal with this company. Instructions available are really good too.

Really happy with the result
Our old blinds were stained and looking really sad. Local suppliers refused to supply slats only so we were really happy to find Blinds Downunder on-line. The slats (32 of them) were easy to install and meant we could use all the existing parts except the slats. The slats were exactly the size and colour that I requested on the order form and the material quality is excellent. The cost was also very reasonable so we will definitely be using Blinds Downunder for any future orders.

Best choice for vertical blind slats and roller blinds
I recently replaced all the window coverings in my home with replacement vertical blind slats and new roller blinds from Blinds Downunder, and I’m extremely happy with the results.
The old vertical slats were worn and discoloured, but these replacements have completely refreshed the look of my windows. They fit perfectly and look clean and modern. The new roller blinds, which also replaced older ones, operate smoothly and provide excellent light control and privacy.
After searching around, I found Blinds Downunder to be one of the very few companies in Australia that provide replacement vertical blind slats, and their prices were the best I could find.

I recently purchased custom sized full cassette blockout blinds and standard roller blinds through Blinds Downunder. I recently bought from Blind Downunder after looking at various reviews of blind products . After talking to Alan at Blinds Downunder in Victoria and discussing my needs for two external motorised 240v blinds for my carport and caravan housing (another carport} i settled on two (240v ) roller blinds with remote control 1 x straight drop and 1 x guide rod drop using Stradbroke sunscreen mesh . I found Alan very helpfull in making sure all measurements were right and supplying my DIY installation instructions , he always returned my calls if i had any queries or problems . Blind replacement material is easy to install and much cheaper
I ordered thermal roller blind material and used it to replace my old worn blind successfully. The cut was great. It was easy to apply double sided tape, plastic coated flat tape (like biase binding or hemming material) and then slot it into the metal blind roll. It worked out to be significantly cheaper and less wasteful than replacing the whole blind.
Now I know how easy it is, I'll be ordering more soon to replace another blind.

I specifically choose blinds down under as they offered a full cassette (block out) blind. I needed this particular blind as it is located near a fireplace and required to maintain safety clearances .
I then ordered a series of face fitted and recess fitted rollers for the rest of the house.
After the blinds arrived i completed the installation myself.
The recess blinds were very difficult to fit, but i got there in the end and the face fitted blinds - the aluminum facia was not going together.
On Saturday night at around 7pm i emailed blinds downunder for some confirmation i was sent the right parts for the face fitted blinds.
These guys were amazing.... within 20 mins i had a reply and we went back and forth for a good hour till i had installed the face fitted blinds. When we spoke about the recess fitted blinds, we realized they could have been a tad shorter... well after confirming measurements, blinds online charged a flat rate of $80 (which included shipping out and back) to have the blinds cut down.
Got those blinds back, fitted without issue.
During all this one part of the full cassette blind was not delivered.
Again.. these guys were great.. they followed up with Auspost and then shipped me a new set of parts free of charge.
I would definitely recommend these guys.
Service was great, product is great and price is highly competitive.

Spoke with me at length to help make sure I had the right measurements for the order, and again with the installation when they arrived. Very happy with the resulting blinds, thankyou very much! Pic shows the completed blinds. The fabric between blind and pelmet matches despite being supplied by different companies six months apart, which I am thankful for. These are reverse roll double blinds, I picked these over standard roll as I push my monitors back into the window space as close to the glass as possible.

A+ service for budget price
I couldn’t be happier with finding blinds down under. We had the bottom bar come off our blinds that were supplied and installed from another company and were approx 5 years old. Contacted them and after paying $100 for them to “service” the blinds and not be successful in fixing them they quoted a few hundred to fix 1 blind. There were 4 that were failing. After contacting blinds down under they were able to suppply the components for all 4 blinds for a fraction of the price we were quoted to fix 1.
Blinds down under were even proactive in offering remote assistance if there were any problems with the install (there weren’t, it was an easy process with some YouTube guidance)
I will happily recommend to family and friends and will be coming back if we have any future window covering requirements!

Exceptional customer service
We ordered blinds to be delivered to WA. The customer service started when I was contacted to check measurements, and given advice in relation to our windows and how to measure them. They also advised on colours, roller covering/style and pelmet. This made sure the blinds were custom made accurately by the factory. Blinds Downunder are incredible. We considered a lot of blind companies but in terms of quality and professional care Blinds Downunder are miles ahead. Having everything made is Australia brings a different selection of materials than most can supply. They also have automation options which work with Google, Alexa and Apple HomeKit both battery and wired. You’d like they’d be more expensive but to the contrary they came in as best value too. It’s rarely I write reviews online but I’m so impressed and happy with our blinds that I’d like others to benefit from such a great Aussie company and crew!

We love our new blinds from Blinds Downunder. They were very proffesional from the first phone call, to the final completion of our blinds. Alan suggested the use of battery motors in a few high traffic areas and we love them. They look amazing and are operated of a remote control without the need for 240V power. Due to some measurement issue I had not provided the accurate measurements of my window and the blinds were custom made to the size I had given and was slightly large for the window .However Alan make a point to organise and cut the blinds to look perfect for my window without any extra charges . I had the blind installed by another company, but it never worked well. And after a while it did not work at all anymore. It was hard to find someone who could fix the blind for me. But then I was lucky to come in contact with Alan from Blinds Downunder. Last Sunday he came and managed to make the blind working again. He did not give up until he found a way. He offered his service if needed in the future. I would recommend his service to anyone. Very good quality and very cost efficient.

Blinds Downunder are absolutely AMAZING! They really went above and beyond to measure, quote and fit our amazing electronic outdoor Blinds. They are such high quality and really transform our entire area, keeping the rain and wind out and blocking all of the harshness of the sun whilst still being transparent. We can operate them by remote or even through an app on our phone from anywhere in the world. After looking around Blinds Downunder were by far the best priced and quality and service are elite. I highly recommend them. Don't normally write reviews but was so happy, just had to recommend them so that others know.

Simply the best customer service I've had. Alan not only saved me money by telling me about re skinning my existing blinds (keeping the hardware and just replacing the fabric, of which I knew nothing about until he enlightened me). The follow up and communication was over and above. I'm glad I stumbled across word of mouth and all the reviews here were the reason I went with Blinds Downunder. I had been finding suppliers who could customise my roller blinds as I wanted them to be, but couldn't find EXCEPT Blinds Downunder.
Alan has been superb with us from scratch till the finished product on our windows. A very generous, humble and professional person and everyone who is reading this review must give a chance to BD.
I gave measurements to BD, and being an engineer I wanted to have my products as per measurements. BD successfully manufactured my blinds with less than a millimeter tolerance, which is just awesome I would say. All blinds are a perfect fit (face fit) on my windows.

The curtains we had were old and leaving white powder over the windows and window sills. These blinds we purchased from Blinds Downunder to replace the curtains fit perfect and block the street lights out at night to make the room a lot darker. They also help to block the light out during the day when you need that nap. The material is strong and the sleek design makes them look flush. The wife and kids are very happy, Thank you!!!

We moved into a new house with roller blinds that were stained and looking very sad.
Instead of trying to just upsell us, Alan offered an option to keep the hardware but replace the old material with new which was significantly more cost effective!

I had a request to work out a solution for something that would cover a large whiteboard in an office for when the room camera was on for video conferencing and had the idea for a custom blind (with custom artwork printed on it) so reached out to Blinds Downunder.
The blind is perfect and acts as both a privacy screen for the contents on the whiteboard if still needed after the video call, but also acts as branded back-drop for the on camera person without them having to add an artificial background.
The chain-free zero gravity mechanism makes it easy to use and the slim pelmet is not too intrusive.
We did arrange for install ourselves as we are in Sydney but when we had a slight problem Alan was able to talk us through it easily.
Great job all around, would 100% recommend.

Order a couple of pelmets from them. Sent photos through email and they were super prompt at getting back to us and suggesting the right product. Super easy to order. Once arrived we had alittle bit of trouble with the install. But again sent an email with photos and they got back to us super fast and it was easy from there! Great work done professionally with dedication
I used this company for the mechanism repair of a 2.8-meter-wide roller blind. Allan after receiving the parts came in to resolve the issue with the roman blind which he fixed in very short time. There were other smaller roman blinds with some problems which he investigated and provided solutions. Allan spent nearly an hour on three other roman blinds which were fixed to great extent but charged me only for fixing the large blind. When I got the invoice, I wanted to pay for the extra work he had done but he declined to accept the extra amount.I also found that they can make blind and we can get new blinds made through this outfit.
Considering his professionalism, honesty and punctuality, I have no hesitation in recommending him for the good work he does.

Can’t thank Alan enough for his amazing dedication to making our difficult project a great success. While we were specifying the job Alans patience with my detailed and constant questions was unwavering. We used the smart motors on double rollers with pelmets so there was a lot to consider. Alan even customised the pelmet for us minimising the opening to give a super clean look.
We weren’t comfortable to install ourselves so Alan offered a full service install as we are nearby to him in Melbourne. The install proved way more difficult than expected with a variety of solutions required to deal with the different wall constructions present. Alan persisted until he achieved a truly impressive finish.
From sale to post install support I sincerely can’t speak highly enough of our experience with Blinds Downunder. Alan is truly a rare kind of service provider. Can’t thank you enough.

I searched for ages trying to find a company that would sell me just blind fabric (skins).They all wanted to charge me a fortune to change the skins themselves or sell me new blinds. Alan said, sure we've never sold just skins but we'll give it a go.
They double checked I had all my measurements correct and when they thought I might have missed something they called to ask me.
They sent me extra items for free to help ensure it all went as well as it could for me.
They watching over the distribution chain and ensuring everything was delivered in full.
I have never in my life had such outstanding customer service.

If you can use a tape measure and a drill, you'll save yourself a bunch of money going DIY with Blinds Downunder.
The installation process is quite easy and once you've done one, the remaining blinds are a breeze to put up.

Re skin of outdoor blind.
